BRAAS Company Expands Machine
Base & Safeguarding by Acquiring SiCRON

BRAAS Company is pleased to announce that they have acquired Sicron Inc. (www.Sicron.com) a manufacturer of machine bases and enclosures based in Eden Prairie, MN. Sicron manufactures a broad range of standardized machine bases and enclosures utilizing both welded steel and aluminum profile, providing engineers and machine designers with a cost effective and flexible range of bases/enclosures that free up design time, speed time-to-market and enhance machines with ergonomic and contemporary well featured platforms for automation systems.

The welded steel option offers higher rigidity and load capability for applications that need it, complementing BRAAS' current Valu-Manufacturing division which has provided custom bases and enclosures primarily constructed with aluminum profile for over 20 years. Several models of standard bases are in stock, and may be purchased with or without pre-mounted content such as safety light curtains, interlock switches, conveyors and robotics. The SiCRON offering will be sold through partner distributors and representatives across the US, including the BRAAS sales team throughout the midwest and Florida. All existing SiCRON sales, support and manufacturing is being retained, with some operations being integrated into BRAAS in the months ahead.

BRAAS Company has provided Industrial Components, Systems and Solutions to manufacturers, machine builders and OEMs for over 50 years, and is the largest and most experienced distributor in the US for several leading product lines.
